Degrees Of Opportunity Provides An Opportunity For Young People To Learn And Develop Life Skills, Young People Who Are Disengaged, Not Those Young People Who Are Using Education Including Attending Universities And Colleges As A Building Block For Their Futures. YOUR PATHWAYS Degrees of Opportunity, is a way for young people to expand on their range of opportunities, and the breadth of engagement...not just in one activity provided by one organisation, but through encouraged engagement in a range of activities offered by several organisations. Anchor 1 COLLABORATION At Degrees of Opportunity, we are dedicated to recognising the achievements of young people and encouraging their journey forward, using the skills, interests and personal qualities they have developed through their engagement in differing activities, programs, life skills, and projects. TURNING INTEREST INTO ACTION Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Degrees of Opportunity emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established in 2000, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support. Contact us to learn more and get involved. PERSONALISED YOUR ROUTE TO SUCCESS Degrees of Opportunity will not be a new youth services provider competing with others, but a collaborative scheme for working together, reaching out to young people, providing more opportunities, better rewarding and celebrating achievement by young people, and for providing them with a pathway to further develop their skills and leadership beyond the programmes that they are engaging in. We believe that such an approach will: • Add value to the often excellent work being done. • Provide opportunities for engaging young people further and for further developing their skills. • Develop a creative collaboration amongst youth activity providers to do more and better.
